From a recent article in the Realtor® Magazine, I found a couple of helpful tips on searching for the right home if you’re keeping your furry friends in mind…

• Let your agent know some basic info about your pet – type, breed, size, exercise needs, age, etc.  This will be helpful in case there are any pet restrictions or if you have a need for a larger yard, walking areas, and more.
• Let your agents of any specific pet-related needs you might have in terms of home layout, features, distance to dog parks, local vets, etc.  Some items to consider are pet washing areas, storage of pet items, and yard size or proximity to pet walking area.

Keeping these ideas in mind should help as you're going through the home search process if you have pets to consider!
